Wilson Becomes Airport Authority Commissioner

First published in the Dec. 29 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is back to a full panel of nine commissioners, with recently vacated seats filled by the appointments of Pasadena resident Andy Wilson and Frank Quintero (Glendale).
The BGPAA is a joint powers agency formed by the three cities to own and operate Hollywood Burbank Airport. The Authority is governed by a nine-member commission, with each of the three cities appointing three commissioners. Each commissioner serves a four-year term.
Wilson just finished a term as vice mayor of the city of Pasadena, and has served on the City Council for seven years.
Quintero returns to the BGPAA after serving from 2008-2017. He was on the Glendale City Council for 13 years, including three terms as mayor.
The other commissioners are President Emily Gabel-Luddy (Burbank); Vice President Felicia Williams (Pasadena); Treasurer Tyron Hampton (Pasadena); Auditor Ara Najarian (Glendale); Paula Devine (Glendale); and Paul Dyson and Robert “Bud” Ovrom (Burbank).
Hollywood Burbank Airport is owned and operated by the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, a joint powers agency created in 1977 between the cities of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena. More information can be found on the airport’s website, HollywoodBurbankAirport.com, and on the airport’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds.
