Cathay Bank Raises $92,000 With Charity Golf Tournament

First published in the Nov. 17 print issue of the Pasadena Outlook.

Cathay Bank recently raised $92,000 from its 45th annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Industry Hills Golf Club.
The annual charity golf tournament, which brought together nearly 100 players, has been Cathay Bank’s signature fundraiser since 1977. It is a highly anticipated event among the community.
“I am grateful for your participation in this charity event — to every golfer, sponsor, volunteer and team member, for your generous time and support,” said Peter Wu, chairman of the Cathay Bank Foundation. “After a two-year pause, it is also good to see many friends join in-person to support the cause. The event was a great success.”
Funds raised from this tournament will benefit the American Senior Citizens Service Center, Cathay Bank Foundation, Friends of the Chinatown Library, Herald Family Center Counseling Ministry, International Institute of Los Angeles, Irvine Chinese School, No Limits for deaf children and families, Pacific Clinics, and the Taiwanese American Heritage Week.
