A tradition dating back nearly 50 years, the Gooden School recently held its Autumn Tea for students and their families.
The event was hosted by the Gooden Family Association and co-chaired by Cora Tang and Amanda Chang with the help of the 2nd grade families. Parents, grandparents, students and alumni were served tea by middle school students at tables brightly decorated with pumpkins, fall colors and baked treats.
The tradition of teas at Gooden dates back to its founding in 1975 and are now held twice a year. During their first year at Gooden, students are taught proper etiquette of an English tea, including how to properly hold cups, serve the beverage and engage in conversations with adults.
