Stars recently held its annual “Stars for Tomorrow” gala on Sept. 22 to celebrate the organization’s mentoring, after-school programming, college support, summer enrichment and wellness programming for Pasadena Unified School District students.
The event, held at the local home of David and Mary Sue Scheidler, raised an organization record $250,000.
Curt Gibson, Stars’ associate director who has been with the organization for 20 years, was the evening’s honoree. Deb Morrison’s band provided musical entertainment.
Nancy Stiles is Stars’ executive director, and Hazel Perera is the board chair.
