In Pasadena Unified School District’s Career Technical Education and Academy programs, students benefit from guest speakers, resume reviews, mock interviews, job shadows and internships around Pasadena. Current and potential business partners and community members recently convened at Red Hen Press (current internship host) to hear from students, teachers, and hosts about how their lives have benefited from the support offered through these programs.
The success of PUSD students in CTE /Academies is incumbent upon the support offered to students through a continuum of Work-Based Learning experiences, which rely on community partnerships. Each year students in CTE/Academies complete internships, gain prestigious college acceptances and are often in a position to give back to those starting this journey. Our hope is that it is the first annual mixer and that positive collaborations will stem from this celebratory event.”
