Hundreds of Westridge School community members recently made their way to campus for a festive Garden Party & Tea celebrating retiring Head of School Elizabeth McGregor.
With assorted treats, sandwiches and tea, students and their families to current and former colleagues came together, reminiscing on McGregor’s tenure.
The program portion of the afternoon included remarks from Westridge Parent Association President Ellen Tsang, Westridge faculty member Jim Holland, Viewpoint Head of School Mark McKee, Westridge board chair Richard Fung, and the Class of 2022 Associated Student Body President Charisma Chen, who emceed the event.
“For the past 13 years you have nurtured Westridge students and helped us blossom into our best, bold selves,” said Manon Iwata, from the Class of ’28. “Now it is your turn to blossom into the next chapter of your adventure.”
To the tune of “Pomp & Circumstance,” Fung presented McGregor with a diploma certificate — officially conferring upon her the title of honorary alumna of Westridge School.
