Flintridge Prep’s Head of School Vanessa Walker-Oakes thanked about 100 of the school’s most dedicated donors at an event held at the Athenaeum at Caltech on Friday, May 13.
The event, called Heads Council, is hosted annually as a tribute to the generosity of alumni, parents and trustees who make Flintridge Prep’s ambitions a reality through giving.
The evening’s honorees were Carol Chen and Harry Tsao, parents of two Prep alumni, Kate and William, and Kelly, a current student. The couple was honored for their commitment to Prep through Harry Tsao’s wisdom on the school’s Board of Trustees, as well as for the family’s creation of the Tsao Family Endowment for Chinese Studies, which will provide a perpetual source of funding for this essential program.
