The USC Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena hosted a reception to welcome its new executive director, Bethany Montagano, last Thursday. USC Provost Michael Quick and Selma Holo, executive director for USC Museums, were among the speakers recognizing Montagano. Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, USC Pacific Asia board members and supporters were among the nearly 200 attendees. Montagano, who also addressed the crowd, was previously the senior curator at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and earned a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, a master’s degree from the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts and a doctorate from the University of Notre Dame.
