Five Acres recently celebrated its 130th anniversary at its Diamonds & Roses Gala, hosted at the home of Tom and Mariann Nolan. With its sponsorship committee chaired by Kirsten Hansen and Matt McIntyre, the event attracted more than 300 guests who raised tens of thousands during a high-energy live auction. Generous sponsors included an anonymous Diamond sponsor, Rose sponsor Wells Fargo and Silver sponsors Rusnak Auto Group, the Strafaces, Hoefts and Bennetts and Trader Joe’s.
“The Price Is Right” host George Gray emceed the evening and a surprise anonymous donor matched all donations from the final call, with all the night’s proceeds supporting mental health and foster care/adoption services.
