About 350 mothers and daughters gathered for a Mass and brunch at Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, an annual tradition that brings a few special hours of prayer, friendship and bonding among the women in this high school community.
In a reflection during Mass, Kathleen Lydon of Pasadena encouraged mothers to listen to their daughters with open minds because “living and learning with joy must begin with the act of listening.”
The event is a cherished occasion at Mayfield, an all-girls Catholic high school. It was a lovely morning for spring dresses, sandals and sweet pea centerpieces.
