At the recent annual meeting of Las Madrinas, Pasadena resident Lisa Brandt, president of Las Madrinas, presented Dr. Douglas Nordli, Jr., chief of Neurology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, with a major contribution to the Endowment for the Chief of Neurology Chair and the Neurological Institute Epilepsy Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on behalf of the members of Las Madrinas.
At this meeting, four Las Madrinas members were honored for their extraordinary generosity to the organization, including Nancy Annick of Pasadena. Their names will be added to the Las Madrinas plaque displayed in the lobby of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which recognizes the dedication and exceptional commitment of Las Madrinas members to the hospital.
Las Madrinas also elected its new board of directors for 2018, including local residents Katherine Johnson (treasurer), Kristin Harrison (ball chairman) and Lisa Brandt (past president) of Pasadena, and Chantal Bennet (recording secretary) and Anne Ryan (corresponding secretary) of San Marino. The newest members of Las Madrinas were introduced, including local residents Allie Dietrick, Sheridan Link and Maggie Sabbag of Pasadena.
