Taste of South Lake on Oct. 14

Thousands are expected to attend the Taste of South Lake on Saturday, Oct. 14. Guests can enjoy cuisine from more than 20 of Pasadena’s South Lake Avenue restaurants, cooking demonstrations from talented area chefs, musical performances from internationally known bands, an interactive vendor village, as well as beer, wine and a cocktail garden.
The free event is family-friendly; it runs from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Taste of South Lake offers an opportunity to sample a diverse selection of bites from popular South Lake Avenue restaurants located along Pasadena’s Restaurant Row, including Paul Martin’s American Grill, Urban Plates and Pacific Seafood Grill.
This outdoor festival features a live cooking demonstration stage with chefs such as Luisa Fabbri, owner of Contessa Foods; Ronald Russell, the renowned vegan and raw food chef; and Caroline Cazaumayou, owner of Califresh cuisine, who will teach gourmet French classic dishes with a California twist. R.G. Enriquez, the renowned chef and host of Astig Vegan cooking show, will conduct demonstrations of her healthy Filipino cuisine.
Live musical performances feature emerging bands and internationally known artists and bands throughout the day, including progressive pop duo Cosmos & Creature; soulful singer-songwriter Katie Welch; indie rock band
Parlours; Spotify viral darlings Frenship; and popular American synth pop band Polica. KCRW’s DJ Raul Campos is spinning throughout the day between sets.
The Taste of South Lake is a South Lake Business Association culinary celebration presented by Logix Federal Credit Union and co-sponsored by Corporate Center Pasadena.
