Muse/ique’s Opening Night Celebration was held recently on Caltech’s Beckman lawn just before the season’s first concert. “Motown Miracle” is this summer’s theme, with music ranging from Latin rhythm to rousing gospel and spirituals, from the jubilance of jazz to the mega hits of Detroit. The Motown sound will be paired with the breakthrough sounds of the ages. Muse/ique is conducted by Artistic Director Rachael Worby. Opening night features the globally renowned talents of jazz phenomenon Alfredo Rodríguez and the transformative company Ballet Hispánico.
