Gooden Country Fair a Great Success

Huiling, Marcus and Ryan Chan with Henry Gardner

The Gooden School and the Gooden Family Association recently held their biennial Country Fair on the school’s campus in Sierra Madre. As well as traditional carnival-style games, the day featured a chili cook-off, homemade pulled pork, old-fashioned yard games, a student lip sync contest and face painting. A “country store” sold handmade jewelry, chocolates, jams and other one-of-a-kind-items. Gooden School families, friends, faculty, staff, as well as Head of School-Elect Carl Parke, joined in the fun.
Co-chairs Leslie Ary and Traci Cecconello and their committee arranged this family day. The Country Fair was the Gooden School’s largest fundraiser of this school year and the event broke previous records. The funds raised will be used to further enhance the school’s campus and support the work of the Gooden Family Association to enrich the school life of every child.
