McKinley School invites parents to attend its Parent Summit on Saturday, April 8, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The free event includes workshops on adolescent development, navigating high school, strategies for college planning and parenting styles. In the Writers’ Workshop session, parents will get insight into the way that PUSD elementary school students are learning to hone their writing skills with methods used by professional writers.
“The Parent Summit is an opportunity for parents and families to come together to prepare children for the future, whether for the next academic year or for college and careers,” said McKinley School Principal Charles Heaton.
The event is free and open to all parents and families. To register, visit eventbrite.com/e/parent-summit-2017-tickets-32429003021. McKinley School is located at 325 S. Oak Knoll Ave.
