Villa Esperanza Services held its annual Board Holiday Party celebrating donors, volunteers and clients at Mijares Mexican Restaurant recently.
Board Chairman Jay Henneberry welcomed guests, saying “This event is just one way of thanking each of you for all you do for Villa. We are also celebrating our accomplishments this past year. Through the support of those here tonight and hundreds of others, we were able to raise $1.2 million for Villa’s nine programs for children, adults and seniors with special needs.”
Jim McDermott and Cynthia Kurtz, Villa’s Capital Campaign co-chairs, updated the audience on the campaign’s progress. Erica Tejeda, Wells Fargo Pasadena district manager, was on hand to congratulate and offer a holiday grant to the campaign with $100,000 from the Wells Fargo Foundation. In addition to the grant, the Wells Fargo Foundation stepped forward early on in the Villa capital campaign, four years ago, with a $1 million grant.
The evening culminated with a gift from the board of directors to Kelly White, Villa’s CEO.
