The Leadership Council of Innovate Pasadena held its Fall Cocktail Party for members and invited guests recently at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena. Leadership Council members are high-level leaders from the city’s business and civic communities who support Innovate Pasadena’s dual mission to build awareness for Pasadena as a center of design, technology and innovation, and to bring people, companies and capital to the region. Guests heard remarks from Leadership Council co-chairs Bill Bogaard and Harvey Knell, and I.P. Board President Mike Giardello. The Carnegie Observatories director, John Mulchaey, then took the group on a behind-the-scenes tour highlighting the Observatories’ rich history and new projects. In his opening comments, Bogaard called the Carnegie Observatories one of Pasadena’s “hidden treasures.”
