Chandler School trustees, parents, past parents, alumni and faculty gathered recently to honor the school’s Shamrock Circle annual fund donors and to thank the special families who made significant contributions to the school’s South Campus Campaign, which raised $17 million. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers in Rothenberg courtyard, and then were treated to a sneak preview performance of the Middle School’s “Aladdin Jr.” in the Ahmanson Foundation Performing Arts Center. Later, over a Mediterranean-themed dinner served under twinkling lights in the Middle School courtyard, guests heard from Head of School John Finch, music teacher and “Aladdin Jr.” director Brandi Williams-Moore and Board chair Dan Rothenberg. Rothenberg thanked the audience for enabling Chandler to build the distinguished new Middle School, and praised Chandler’s exceptional faculty for setting a high bar for students. “Brandi Williams-Moore is a perfect example of the strength of Chandler’s faculty,” he said. “Her creativity, ideas and tireless commitment to every student helps each achieve more than he or she imagined possible. Chandler students are the beneficiaries of a very talented faculty and extraordinary facilities that allow them to work at the highest level.”
